Curtain Drops is a Johannesburg based maker of bespoke curtains, blinds and soft furnishings. We work with homeowners, interior designers and hospitality clients, and we handle the full job from the in-home consultation and measurements through to manufacture and installation. Curtains, Roman blinds, roller blinds and Venetians, all made to order rather than pulled off a shelf. Our work is in private homes across the city as well as commercial projects including Steyn City Hotel and Club Med.
Curtain Drops is looking for an Operations Coordinator, based in Sandton.
What the job involves:
* Preparing and sending all client quotes. We have our own quoting tool, so you’re not building spreadsheets.
* Scheduling installers and making sure jobs happen when they’re supposed to.
* Following up on orders and deliveries with suppliers.
* Collecting fabric from suppliers now and then.
What you need:
* Your own car and a valid licence. Most of the work is office based, but you’ll need to get to a supplier or a site when it’s needed.
* Based in or near Sandton.
* Accurate with numbers and measurements. Quoting mistakes cost us real money.
* Someone who chases things up without being asked twice.
Nice to have: experience in curtains, upholstery, blinds, interiors or décor. If you already know your way around fabric and fullness, you’re ahead.
There’s room to take on a lot more over time for the right person.
