Are you an experienced operations professional with a strong background in fleet, field service, and technician management within the mining or earthmoving industry? We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Operations Controller to join our North West Branch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate the daily operations of field service technicians.
- Oversee the maintenance and utilisation of the company fleet and equipment.
- Schedule and allocate technicians to breakdowns, planned maintenance, and service work.
- Monitor machine performance and implement strategies to minimise downtime.
- Ensure rapid response to machine breakdowns and customer requirements.
- Procure and order parts, consumables, and service-related materials.
- Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to ensure efficient operations.
- Prepare operational, maintenance, and performance reports.
- Monitor job progress, costs, and technician productivity.
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards, policies, and procedures.
- Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum 2-5 years' experience in an operations, service coordination, or fleet management role.
- Proven experience managing technicians and field service teams.
- Previous experience in the mining, earthmoving, heavy equipment, or related industries is essential.
- Sound knowledge of earthmoving and mining equipment.
- Strong understanding of fleet management and maintenance planning.
- Experience in sourcing and ordering parts for heavy equipment.
- Excellent leadership, planning, and organisational skills.
- Strong report-writing and computer skills (MS Office and ERP systems).
- Ability to work under pressure and effectively manage multiple priorities.
- Valid driver's licence.
