Job Description
Sovereign, a national supplier of quality chicken products to various markets with operations in five provinces, is seeking a thorough and committed individual for the position of Occupational Health Staff Nurse for its operations in the Group Services division. The Occupational Health Staff Nurse is responsible for the administration and operation of efficient occupational health services, compliance with relevant occupational health legislation, the assessment of occupational health risks, and the implementation of occupational health management programs.
This position reports to the Senior Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner. The ideal candidate must be registered as an Enrolled Nurse with SANC, have certificates in audiometry and spirometry, and have 2 years’ experience in an occupational health environment.
Responsibilities
Schedule & conduct pre-employment and periodic medical examinations.
Maintain administrative accuracy.
Identify and report on health matters, incidents, accidents, and trends.
Equip the clinic to deal with all foreseeable medical emergencies.
Maintain all legal compliance for the Clinic.
Coach staff on basic Health and Food Safety awareness.
