About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled NOC (Network Operations Centre) Engineer to join our IT operations team. This is a shift-based role, requiring availability for both day and night shifts on a rotational basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, supporting, and maintaining network infrastructure and systems to ensure high availability and performance across our services.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor network and server infrastructure using NOC tools to identify and address faults promptly
Troubleshoot and resolve incidents relating to network, hardware, software, and connectivity
Escalate unresolved or complex issues to senior engineers or relevant departments
Maintain detailed and accurate incident records and documentation
Carry out routine maintenance tasks and system health checks
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure minimal disruption to operations
Support network upgrades, patch management, and performance optimisation
Assist in disaster recovery and business continuity planning as required
Requirements:
Proven experience in a NOC, IT support, or network engineering role
Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, etc.)
Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., PRTG, SolarWinds, Nagios)
Experience with Windows/Linux server environments
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and documentation abilities
Flexibility to work rotating day and night shifts, including weekends and holidays
Desirable Qualifications:
Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+, ITIL)
Experience in cloud-based infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure)
Exposure to firewall and security appliance management
