Our Client is a leading digital communications company specializing in video, animation, and design for Blue Chip companies both in South Africa and Internationally, delivering high-quality creative solutions that make an impact.

We are looking for a dynamic and ambitious New Business Development Lead to work alongside the Creative Director in driving business growth. The ideal candidate is a hunter
—someone with a proactive sales approach, exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal), and a strong desire to earn lucrative commission
.

This role requires a go-getter with an existing network, particularly with Marketing Directors/Managers, Brand Managers, Media Buyers and Communication People. The role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment and is eager to learn and grow within the industry.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Generation & Prospecting – Identify and engage potential clients, focusing on companies locally and abroad.

Client Relationship Management – Develop and maintain strong relationships with marketing decision-makers.

Sales Execution – Effectively communicate our value proposition and close deals that align with client needs.

Collaboration with Creative Teams – Work closely with the Creative Director to craft tailored sales pitches and proposals.

Strategic Sales Planning – Create and execute a sales strategy that expands our client base and strengthens our global reach.

Sales Performance & Reporting – Ensure sales targets are met through regular check-ins with leadership, tracking progress, and refining strategies as needed.

Lead Qualification & Quoting – Assess potential leads, manage the quoting process, and ensure seamless handover to the project team.

Industry Networking – Actively engage in industry events, leveraging existing relationships and building new ones.

Learning & Adaptability – Be open to coaching, continuously improving sales techniques, and staying up to date with industry trends.

Pipeline & CRM Management – Maintain an up-to-date sales pipeline and use CRM tools effectively for tracking and reporting.

Market Insights & Feedback – Provide valuable client feedback to the creative and leadership teams, ensuring our offerings remain competitive.

Ideal Candidate Profile

A hunter mindset – self-driven, motivated by closing deals, and thrives on commission-based earnings.

Proven experience in B2B sales
, ideally selling creative or marketing services.

Strong existing network of Marketing and Communications People and key decision-makers.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Highly coachable and eager to learn new sales strategies and techniques.

Ability to work independently
, meet targets, and contribute to team success.

Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successfully closing deals.

Ability to generate leads across multiple channels
, including digital, networking, and direct outreach.

International sales experience and ability to source leads from outside South Africa would be an advantage.

Requirements

Requirements for the position:

5+ years sales experience in managing sales in a corporate setting

Proven record of success with the entire sales process, from planning to closing.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.

Superb Leadership ability.

Lead generation experience through multiple channels.

Ability to work independently and consistently meet sales targets.

Be able to source leads from counties outside of South Africa.

Good customer engagement and support experience

Be highly driven to meet sales targets.

Have excellent business English skills (written and oral)
