Location: Edenvale, Gauteng
Salary: Up to R15 000 CTC per month

Company Overview
Our client is a well-established pathology laboratory specialising in the collection, testing, and analysis of medical biopsy specimens. Their services support medical practitioners by collecting samples directly from doctors’ rooms and theatre environments for diagnostic testing.
The laboratory focuses on:
- Pap smears
- Dermatology biopsies
- Histology and pathology testing
- Surgical and diagnostic biopsy analysis
With operational depots in Witbank, Ermelo, Johannesburg, and Swaziland, the company is expanding and requires a driven sales professional to grow its footprint and strengthen existing client relationships.
Role Purpose
The New Business Development Sales Representative will be responsible for expanding the laboratory’s referral network by developing relationships with medical professionals while maintaining and servicing existing accounts.
This role combines new business development, relationship management, and territory travel within the medical healthcare sector.
Key Responsibilities Business Development
- Identify and secure new business opportunities within the medical sector.
- Build relationships with:
- General Practitioners
- Dermatologists
- Specialists
- Medical practices and theatre facilities
- Promote pathology laboratory services and educate clients on offerings.
- Grow referral volumes and expand market presence.
Account Management
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
- Conduct regular client visits to ensure service satisfaction.
- Address client queries and coordinate with internal laboratory teams.
Territory & Travel
- Travel extensively to service regional depots and clients.
- Conduct country travel and overnight trips when required.
- Manage territory planning and visit schedules effectively.
Minimum Requirements
- Proven experience in external sales / business development.
- Previous experience in medical, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or pathology sales highly advantageous.
- Valid driver’s licence (essential).
- Willingness to travel extensively and stay overnight when required.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
- Self-motivated with a proactive sales approach.
