The Network Engineer – Hardware and Storage Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization’s network infrastructure, hardware systems, and storage solutions. This role ensures optimal performance, security, and reliability of all network and storage components.
Responsibilities:
Network Design and Implementation
Design and deploy network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems.
Configure and manage network devices to ensure stable and secure connectivity.
Hardware Management
Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and peripherals.
Diagnose and repair hardware issues promptly.
Implement and manage storage solutions, including SAN and NAS systems.
Perform regular backups and ensure data integrity and availability.
Monitor network security and implement measures to protect against threats.
Manage firewalls, VPNs, and other security devices.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network and hardware issues.
Assist in training staff on hardware and network usage.
Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, hardware setups, and storage systems.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proven experience in network engineering, hardware management, and storage solutions.
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or similar.
