Join our client’s team in Cape Town within one of their Life teams. We are looking for a nearly or newly qualified Actuary to consolidate valuation results, provide business insights, and present findings to senior management. This role offers a blend of technical actuarial work and commercial exposure.
POSITION INFO :
Duties and Responsibilities
Valuation Analysis :
Analyze and consolidate Embedded Value (EV) results and prepare detailed reports.
Financial Reporting :
Assess and report on financial performance, including profit and new business flows.
Documentation :
Maintain valuation basis reports and ensure accurate monthly pricing.
Cash Flow & Sensitivity :
Manage monthly cash flows and EV sensitivities, and evaluate new business value.
Profit Reporting :
Prepare and consolidate Retail Affluent profit reports.
Auditor Interaction :
Provide necessary information to internal and external auditors.
IFRS
17 Reporting :
Implement and interpret IFRS
17 reporting processes.
Ad-hoc Tasks :
Create management reports and handle various investigations and tasks.
Qualifications
Education :
Nearly qualified or recently qualified Actuary with a BSc in Actuarial Science or equivalent.
Experience : 3-5 years of relevant experience in actuarial reporting.
Actuarial Reporting :
Proficiency in actuarial reporting environments, including IFRS, EV, VNB, and SAM bases.
