Live-In Position | Salary: R7,000 per month
Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Nature Guide for a nature reserve based in the Western Cape. This is an incredible opportunity for a nature enthusiast to join a dedicated team and share the beauty and biodiversity of the region with guests from around the world.
Minimum
Qualifications and Skills:
FGASA Level 1 / NQF Level 2
First Aid Level 1
DEAT Registered
Valid Driver’s License with PDP
Snake Handling certification (beneficial)
Stargazing expertise
Knowledge of the Fynbos Biome (beneficial)
Fluent in English and Afrikaans (a third language is advantageous)
Strong administrative skills
Ability to perform vehicle inspections and basic maintenance
Experience with fence patrol
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct nature drives and interpretive bush experiences
Lead rock art tours and nature walks
Organize and guide quadbike tours
Host stargazing sessions
Deliver engaging reptile presentations
Perform regular fence patrol duties
Assist with administrative tasks as needed
Host and assist guests during their stay
Assist with guest check-ins and general hospitality services
Candidate Requirements:
Must be based in the Western Cape or willing to relocate
Must be fluent in both English and Afrikaans
Must have a passion for conservation, education, and guest experience
