The National Events Manager designs and executes an efficient national event programme on a highly professional level. This role is one of the most important drivers of innovation and creativity in events and athletes’ projects. Innovation is priority, followed by excellent and efficient execution. In addition, this role leverages global/international Red Bull content in sport scenes and supports relevant 3rd party projects with an approach aligned with Red Bull. All the responsibilities we’ll trust you with:
Create National Event Programmes
Start/improve an innovative and outstanding national event programme by inventing and executing new events and athlete projects. These are highly relevant for regional and national consumer groups, and offer personal experiences to participants and spectators and create unique media content.
Event Management
Organise Red Bull events/projects of all scales with strong focus on participants, spectators and media. Assure top quality and efficiency. Brief and supervise suitable partners (event agency & internal stakeholders) to follow Red Bull principles and needs and objectives from communications, legal, finance and sales. Brand appearance responsibility for all national event activities according to international benchmarks and guidelines and local legislation. Assure external partner contribution for defined projects assuring a high level of efficiency.
Internal Event Maximization
Develop and maximize custom internal programmes (including ticketing, partnerships, media collaborations) for other departments to fully leverage the Red Bull events programme in all areas of the business (Sales department, media, Field Marketing)
Budget Management
Responsible for efficiently managing the event budgets across all projects to a high standard. Organisation of reliable event tools and materials.
Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:
3 – 5 years experience in event management – organizing big events, specifically in sport in South Africa
Proven experience in creating new events and bringing innovation to projects
Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)
Fit for outdoor work.
Ability to design and organise events and projects of all scales (budgets from R100k – R5m). Ability to lead project teams and follow a 360 degree marketing and organisational approach.
