MIDWEIGHT MOTION DESIGNER (GQEBERHA, EASTERN CAPE)
Job Description:
This is an exciting opportunity for a Midweight Motion Designer with a passion for motion graphics and a strong foundation in graphic design. We’re looking for a visually driven creative who can bring static ideas to life through movement — crafting sleek, engaging, and well-executed animations that support a wide range of campaign work.
The ideal candidate is confident working across platforms, from social content to brand videos and digital campaigns, and can deliver sharp, creative outputs that push the work to new heights. A strong design sensibility and experience working in fast-paced studio environments is key.
Responsibilities:
Create animation and motion graphics for digital and social campaigns, presentations, and video content
Design assets, storyboards, and final outputs that reflect strong conceptual thinking and visual craft
Translate briefs into compelling visual narratives with a strong sense of timing, rhythm, and design
Collaborate with Art Directors, Copywriters, Editors, and Strategists to bring ideas to life
Contribute to pitch work and internal creative ideation sessions
Ensure consistency and quality across motion and design outputs
Manage timelines and deliverables independently, with attention to detail
Accurately record time on timesheets
Requirements:
3–5+ years of experience in motion design or animation
Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop
Strong design foundation with an ability to create polished static assets when needed
A solid reel showcasing both motion and design capabilities (brand and campaign work preferred)
Experience working in fast-paced agency or studio environments
Ability to interpret scripts, briefs, and creative direction into dynamic visual content
Bonus:
Familiarity with sound design basics.
