We are seeking to add a motivated Molding Operator to our growing team on 2nd shift! The Molding Operator is responsible for running molding machines and performing inspection of the parts produced. This position will also inspect the product produced and determine if it is acceptable and meets quality specifications.
What will you do?
On any give day, your responsibilities would include:
- Operating an injection molding machine
- Operating a blending machine and combining raw pellets together
- Working from drawings, blueprints, sketches, verbal or written instructions, work orders and process sheets
- Reporting defective materials, scrap, quality problems, or any other unusual condition or circumstance to technician and/or supervisor immediately
- Filling machine hoppers
- Maintaining personal production and quality standards as determined by supervision
- Maintaining records and other pertinent data as instructed or required
- Inspecting products for surface defects and flaws
- Positioning and securing threaded cores and/or overmolds into mold
- Following established procedures as well as quality and safety standards
You are a great fit if you have the following:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; 1-3 years’ manufacturing experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Versatility required to perform many and varied assembly and soldering operations manually
- Ability to read blueprints and measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers (preferred)
Additional Characteristics:
- This position works as both an individual and in a team environment
- This position may require standing for long periods of time, up to 8-10 hours per day
- This position requires the ability to lift 25-55 lbs. occasionally, 10-25 lbs. frequently
- This position may be exposed to various industrial cleaning chemicals and oils
