Penta Consulting are a technology resource solutions provider to leading OEMs across the EMEA region.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Mobile App Developer with a strong background in Android development (Java) and extensive experience building cross-platform mobile applications using Flutter.
This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality mobile applications, while contributing to technical architecture, development best practices, and mentoring junior team members. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating exceptional mobile experiences and a proven track record delivering production-ready applications across Android and iOS platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable mobile applications using Flutter.
- Lead the development of new features and enhancements across multiple mobile products.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, UX/UI Designers, Backend Developers, and QA teams.
- Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness.
- Drive best practices around coding standards, testing, security, and CI/CD.
- Conduct code reviews and provide technical mentorship to developers.
- Troubleshoot complex application issues and implement long-term solutions.
- Participate in architectural discussions and technology decisions.
- Stay current with emerging mobile technologies and industry trends.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of mobile application development experience.
- Strong commercial experience developing applications using Flutter and Dart.
- Previous hands-on experience in native Android development using Java.
- Strong understanding of Android SDK, mobile architecture patterns, and application lifecycle management.
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs and third-party libraries.
- Knowledge of state management frameworks such as Bloc, Provider, Riverpod, or GetX.
- Experience publishing and maintaining applications on Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
- Strong understanding of mobile security principles and secure coding practices.
- Experience with Git-based version control systems.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
