The Miner is responsible to achieve performance targets in sections, through planning, organizing,
and control of day-to-day operations.
Minimum Qualifications Criteria
- National Senior Certificate (With Mathematics and English)
- Valid Blasting Certificate
- Gas Testing Certificate
- Competent A
- 5 years experience in underground gold mining

- Medically fit and able to work in challenging conditions.
- Willingness to work shifts and overtime as needed.
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
- Experience and knowledge of Safety, Health, and Environment and relevant legislation

reflecting, seeking feedback and self-correcting
Responsibilities and duties
- Ensure that targets are met
- Improve performance and reduce costs
- Ensure team adheres to SOP’s and COP’s
- Provide Safe and healthy working conditions
- Build capabilities of in-section personnel
- Conduct section inspections to eliminate risks
- Conform to legal and mining requirements
- Identify and implement best practices
- Coach and develop subordinates
- Execute administrative support work efficiently and accurately
