SUMMARY:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Millwright to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment within the packaging industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal equipment performance through maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs across mechanical and electrical systems within a high-volume production facility.
POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform planned, preventative, and breakdown maintenance on production and packaging machinery
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults
- Ensure minimal downtime by responding efficiently to equipment failures
- Conduct routine inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures
- Support installation, commissioning, and modification of machinery and equipment
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Collaborate with production teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency
- Adhere to all occupational health and safety regulations
Minimum Requirements:
- Trade Tested Millwright (Red Seal essential)
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or FMCG/packaging environment
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
- Experience with PLCs, motors, conveyors, and automated production lines advantageous
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Willingness to work shifts and respond to breakdowns when required
