A well-established company is seeking a qualified and experienced Millwright to join its maintenance team. This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on professional with strong electrical and mechanical expertise who is passionate about maintaining production equipment, reducing downtime, and ensuring optimal plant performance
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on production machinery and plant equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults.
- Install, commission, and maintain industrial machinery and equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues before equipment failure.
- Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and production systems where applicable.
- Ensure machinery operates safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards.
- Complete maintenance reports and maintain accurate service records.
- Collaborate with production teams to minimise downtime and improve equipment reliability.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Qualified Millwright Trade Test (Red Seal).
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ post-trade experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding experience.
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, and production machinery.
- Experience with PLC fault-finding will be advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Computer literacy and experience completing maintenance documentation.
- Valid driver’s licence will be advantageous.
- Willingness to work overtime, shifts, and standby when required.
