Millwright – Vacancy
A Marble & Granite Company is looking for a mature candidate with 10 years’ experience to fulfill the duties of a Millwright:

Location – East Rand – Kempton Park
Position – Millwright
Employment Type – Full Time
Requirements – As the Millwright, you will be in charge of the maintenance and installation of machinery and other equipment used in the production line and the factory. You will be required to inspect, adjust and repair equipment and machinery on a regular basis and assist the production team with any machine breakdowns.
Well experienced in automation – PLC Experience.
Replace defective parts of machines or adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts.
Align machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools and or other tools as required.
Connect power unit to machines to equipment, and test unit to evaluate its mechanical operation.
Position steel beams to support bedplates of machines and equipment, using
Blueprints and schematic drawings.
Insert shims, adjust tension on nuts and bolts, or position parts using hand tools and measuring instruments to set specified clearances between moving and stationary parts.
Move machinery and equipment in a safe manner by using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
Assemble machines, and bolt, weld, rivet, or otherwise fasten them to foundation or other structures, using hand tools and power tools.
Review and follow highly technical and complex machinery manuals to repair and maintain the working condition of machinery.
Disassemble machine parts when transporting or repairing it and reassemble the parts.
Order and store machinery parts required for the maintenance equipment.
Lay out mounting holes, using measuring instruments, and drill holes with power drill.
Bolt parts, such as side and deck plates, jaw plates, and journals, to basic assembly units.
Dismantle machines using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools to repair any mechanical damages.
Install, maintain and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Supervise team and do relevant coaching to train and develop team members.
