Our client, a well-established clothing manufacturer, is looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Merchandising Assistant to join their team.
POSITION INFO:
ð
- µ Key Responsibilities: Support product development, customer orders, and tender processes. Coordinate fabric and trim procurement, sampling, approvals, and laboratory testing. Maintain critical path timelines and update internal systems. Assist with fabric sourcing and supplier coordination. Track shipments, documentation, and approvals to ensure on-time delivery. Liaise with internal departments, suppliers, mills, and customers. â Minimum Requirements: Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent. Previous experience in a clothing, textile, sourcing, or merchandising environment is advantageous. Understanding of garment manufacturing, fabric sourcing, and product development processes. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook . Excellent organisational, administrative, and communication skills. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines. â Key Competencies: Time management Problem-solving Team player Strong follow-up skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
