We are seeking a highly driven office manager to lead a medical pharmacy wholesaler company. This role focuses on team leadership, operational delivery, performance management, and process optimisation within a structured, high-volume environment.
Pharmaceutical industry experience is advantageous but not required — strong management capability, operational discipline, and the ability to drive results are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team across operations, admin, and support functions
- Drive a high-performance culture focused on accountability and outcomes
- Conduct regular performance reviews, 1:1s, and team engagement initiatives
- Manage attendance, scheduling, and workforce planning aligned to UK hours
- Oversee end-to-end operational workflows for the pharmacy wholesaler client
- Ensure SLAs, KPIs, and turnaround times are consistently met or exceeded
- Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency
- Maintain high standards of accuracy, compliance, and service delivery
- Act as the primary operational point of contact for the client
- Provide regular reporting on performance, risks, and opportunities
- Ensure alignment with client expectations and service standards
- Proactively address issues and implement solutions
- Track and manage key metrics (productivity, quality, turnaround times, attendance)
- Analyse data to drive decision-making and continuous improvement
- Implement structured reporting frameworks and dashboards
- Ensure operational transparency and accountability
- Implement and maintain SOPs and operational best practices
- Ensure compliance with internal and client-specific requirements
- Drive quality assurance initiatives and continuous improvement programs
Requirements
- Proven experience in operations or team management (BPO, logistics, admin-heavy, or similar environments)
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Experience managing KPIs, SLAs, and performance metrics
- Ability to work 10am – 7pm.
- Strong organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making ability
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Experience in pharmacy, healthcare, or wholesale/distribution environments
- Exposure to order processing, supply chain, or inventory workflows
- Experience in a BPO or outsourced service environment
