Role Purpose

Provide clinical guidance and support to doctors, ensuring the delivery of appropriate care to all members.

Requirements

A National Senior Certificate is essential

A Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery is essential (Master of Medicine in Family Medicine is advantageous)

Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a medical practitioner is essential

Minimum of three years’ experience in general practice

Previous experience managing a team of doctors is desirable

Previous working experience on a telemedicine platform is highly advantageous

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Power BI, Outlook and PowerPoint

Duties & Responsibilities

Provide clinical guidance to doctors on duty.

Offer general administrative support, including but not limited to, tasks such as reviewing and approving invoices, ensuring doctors are available for calls, confirming shifts are filled and assisting the Call Centre Operations Manager.

Contribute to the ongoing development of the doctor/patient platform by building relationships, providing input and supporting continuous product improvement.

Address clinical complaints and ensure they are resolved in a timely manner.

Engage with stakeholders to ensure seamless platform functionality and address any issues or needs, cultivating strong relationships and ongoing platform development.

Manage clinic stakeholder relationships by providing ongoing support, training and development while addressing questions and ensuring effective communication.

New doctor recruitment and training, as well as ongoing training of existing doctors when required.

Develop and implement a dynamic Standard Operating Procedure framework for doctors.

Manage the peer review process.

Management of contracted doctors, together with the Operations Manager.

Willingness to work after hours as needed to attend to call overflow.

Ensure continuous coverage for the practice 24/7, 365 days a year.
