SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, and delivery of mechanical systems and components. The role spans the full project lifecycle—from design to manufacturing support and installation—offering plenty of opportunities to refine designs, improve processes, and innovate.

Job Description
- Develop mechanical designs, calculations, and technical documentation
- Create detailed drawings, BOMs, and assembly information that actually make sense
- Perform basic mechanical analysis on components and systems
- Support project delivery from design through to installation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
- Assist with site activities and help resolve technical issues as they arise
- Review shop drawings and support manufacturing processes
- Ensure quality standards are met and documentation stays organised
- Contribute to testing, commissioning, and handover processes
- Assist with process improvements and design optimisation
Skills and Experience
- 1–5 years’ hands‑on experience in mechanical design
- Confident user of SolidWorks (you know your way around it)
- Basic understanding of mechanical analysis and FEA principles
- Exposure to manufacturing, fabrication, or building systems
- Working knowledge of relevant standards (SANS, EN, ASCE advantageous)
- Strong problem‑solving abilities and clear communication skills
- Comfortable working independently, while still working well in a team
Qualifications
- BEng / BSc / MEng in Mechanical Engineering or related field
