POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the mechanical assembly of company products serving both internal and external customers. This person will be trained in the assembly procedures of multiple company products to ensure efficiency and quality of the machines being produced by the company.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Work closely with assembly team to prep, assemble and inspect products to meet and/or exceed company efficiency & quality standards.
- Participate in cross training among Assembly and Shipping Department personnel.
- Work with the Assembly Lead to efficiently complete workload within the allotted production timeframe.
- Assist in ongoing inventory control programs and protocols.
- Understand the strategy, vision and expansion model of the organization including a basic understanding of the company’s business; be aware of and help to uniformly enforce organizational policies and best practices procedures.
- Consistently support the general direction, initiatives and specific final decisions of the Management Team in all aspects of the business; use influence sensitively to garner cooperation of management and co-workers.
- Work daily and effectively to balance stress of multiple projects, conflicting priorities, substantial workload, environmental ambiguity and changing plans through self-management and productive communication with the Management Team regarding needs for department support.
- Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is an essential requirement of this position.
- Assist in the production of company parts and products.
· Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
· Conducts duties in a safe, productive manner and in compliance with applicable OSHA and General Equipment Company safety regulations.
· Complete other duties and tasks as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Competency Statement(s)
· Knowledge of assembly diagrams, piece part diagrams, and production drawings.
· The mechanical aptitude and skills necessary to meet the essential job functions.
· Knowledge of forecasting and reporting abilities as related to ERP system usage.
· Knowledge of and skills for reading and implementing dispatch lists and routings as related to ERP system usage.
· Knowledge, experience, and skill in troubleshooting, processing, and implementing new processes and equipment into a manufacturing environment.
· Demonstrated skill and proficiency with Windows-based computer applications (specifically Word, Outlook and Excel Software) and other industry-related software and office equipment.
· Excellent conceptual thinking skills and the ability to identify and analyze complex and sensitive issues, problems and conflicts and to use independent judgment to make decisions, and to recommend and/or implement solutions.
· Ability to listen and communicate clearly, fluently and diplomatically, both orally and in writing in the English language; also, to maintain excellent interpersonal and cooperative relationships while participating in sectional and cross-functional groups and teams involving management, staff and clients.
· Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and accurately follow through on work activities with time constraints and interruptions to meet deadlines as well as to work independently with a minimum amount of direction and/or supervision.

Education:
High school diploma or GED. Preferred completion of a post-secondary manufacturing related curriculum. Preferred five years of supervisory experience in a product assembly-oriented work environment
WORKING CONDITIONS
Normal plant work office and manufacturing floor conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately loud.

Pay: $24.45 – $29.00 per hour
