Overview
Farm Country Meats is looking for experienced and enthusiastic individual to work in our Meat Department. We are looking for experience in meat cutting, sausage making, and meat counter service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and process meat products with precision using knife skills and meat cutting techniques to ensure quality and consistency.
- Prepare & smoke meats, sausages, etc.
- Package meat items efficiently while maintaining proper labeling and presentation standards.
- Assist customers by providing knowledgeable service, answering questions about meat cuts, cooking tips, and product recommendations.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all work areas in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Handle food products safely by following proper food handling procedures and hygiene practices.
- Support inventory management by receiving deliveries, checking for quality, and organizing stock within the department.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and uphold high standards of food production and preparation.
Skills
- Proven experience in food production, preparation, or a related kitchen environment.
- Knowledge in meat smoking and preparing for flavor and quality.
- Strong knife skills and expertise in meat cutting techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients.
- Experience with packaging food products efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
- Background in the food industry or restaurant experience is highly desirable.

Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
