Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Mathematics, EMS and Accounting Tutor to provide individualized instruction and support to students. The successful candidate must have a strong background in Mathematics, EMS & Accounting with excellent communication skills, and the ability to work with students of varying skill levels.
Language Requirement: Must be able to teach in Afrikaans and English.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching
Teach Mathematics, EMS & Accounting to high school students, following the national curriculum and school policies.
Develop and implement lesson plans, ensuring that they are engaging, informative, and aligned with the national curriculum.
Assessment
Assess student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness, and providing constructive feedback.
Classroom Management
Create a positive and respectful classroom environment, ensuring that students are engaged and motivated.
Communication
Communicate with parents, guardians, and colleagues, providing updates on student progress and collaborating on strategies to support student learning.
Requirements
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Accounting or a related field, with a teaching qualification (e.g.,
B.Ed., PGCE).
Experience: Proven experience teaching Mathematics, EMS and Accounting to high school students.
Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Mathematics, EMS and Accounting curricula, as well as excellent understanding of teaching methodologies and classroom management techniques.
Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Certifications: SACE (South African Council for Educators) registration.
