Job Summary: The Material Planner will be responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient supply of materials required for production. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, managing inventory levels, and working closely with the production and engineering teams to meet production schedules and customer demands.
Key Responsibilities:
Material Planning: Develop and maintain material requirements planning (MRP) systems to ensure the availability of raw materials and components for production.
Supplier Coordination: Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials, negotiate terms, and resolve any supply issues.
Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels to minimize excess stock and avoid shortages. Implement inventory control measures to ensure accurate stock levels.
Production Support: Work closely with the production team to understand material needs and adjust plans accordingly to meet production schedules.
Data Analysis: Analyze material usage patterns, forecast future material needs, and provide reports to management on inventory status and material availability.
Cost Management: Identify cost-saving opportunities in the supply chain and implement strategies to reduce material costs.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements related to material planning and procurement.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field advantageous
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in material planning, supply chain management, or a related role within the automotive industry.
Skills: Proficiency in MRP/ERP systems, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and negotiation abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge: Understanding of automotive manufacturing processes and supply chain dynamics.
Advantageous: Experience with SYSPRO is highly advantageous.

Working Conditions:
