Marketing & Publicity Executive – Publishing Jobs in Home Based at Collective Ink Limited
Are you a highly motivated and experienced marketing and publicity professional with a passion for books? Do you thrive in a remote work environment and possess a knack for securing impactful media coverage? We are seeking a talented and proactive Marketing & Publicity Executive to join our dynamic publishing team on an initial one-year contract.
In this role, you will manage an array of authors across both fiction and non-fiction, supporting them in their promotional work, developing and executing bespoke marketing plans, and conducting extensive media outreach across a range of publications, media, and online resources to set up interviews, features, and extracts.
What You’ll Do
Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and publicity campaigns for a diverse list of fiction and non-fiction authors, from debut to established names.
Act as a primary point of contact for authors, providing expert guidance and support for their promotional activities.
Craft compelling press releases, pitch letters, and other promotional materials that grab attention.
Conduct proactive media outreach to national, regional, and specialist publications, broadcast media, and online platforms (blogs, podcasts, social media influencers) to secure interviews, features, reviews, and extracts.
Identify and cultivate strong relationships with key media contacts, literary editors, and relevant influencers.
Monitor media coverage and provide regular, insightful reports on campaign performance.
Stay abreast of industry trends, media landscapes, and emerging promotional opportunities.
Collaborate closely with editorial, sales, and digital teams to ensure integrated and impactful campaign strategies.
What You’ll Bring
Proven experience (2+ years) in marketing and publicity, preferably within the publishing industry.
Demonstrable success in securing significant media coverage for clients..
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Strong organizational and project management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
Extensive knowledge of the media landscape across print, broadcast, and digital platforms.
A self-starter with the ability to work independently and effectively in a remote setting.
