Summary
Applies glue to surfaces of wood/aluminum pieces for covering in vinyl and carpet. Performs pre-floor and rigging in Station 1.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Always adhere to the NMMA requirements for certification.
- Mixes glue.
- Sprays glue on surfaces to be joined/covered.
- Measure, cut and apply carpet/vinyl/felt.
- Assembles and aligns pieces, and fastens them together until glue dries.
- Pre-floor work includes but is not limited to measuring, cutting, installing hoses and other materials such as cut floors.
- Rigging requires precision measurements on holes to be drilled, drilling accurately and installing appropriate parts.
Qualifications
Experience in a manufacturing environment working with carpentry skills would be preferred but will consider training the right person with an aptitude for construction and power tool usage.
Candidates must be able to pass a post-employment physical test and drug screening.
