Purpose Statement

To evaluate and manage the credit and associated risks within an allocated portfolio in Business Bank through leading, driving and inspiring a team of Credit and Senior Credit Managers responsible for providing credit support, from origination and assessment, on an Intuitive basis, to ongoing risk management.

To integrate and manage the credit function by ensuring that the quality of credit risks across the regions are aligned to the Bank’s risk appetite, which includes minimising the risk of loss through bad debts, while maximising profits and applying risk-based pricing, where appropriate.

To evaluate, manage and monitor the credit and associated risks within a complex and high value portfolio (in addition to the supervision and management of the provincial portfolios).

Experience

Minimum:

At least 3 years’ experience at Senior Management Level

7 years Credit Management experience, within the Commercial and Business markets

Previous supervisory or leadership experience

Ideal

3+ years’ experience at Senior Management Level

7+ years Credit Management experience, within the Commercial and Business markets

Qualifications (Minimum)

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting – Financial Accounting or Credit Management

Qualifications (Ideal Or Preferred)

Honours Degree in Accounting – Financial Accounting or Credit Management
