Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced professional with a minimum of 7 years in the construction, engineering, or consulting industry relevant to the electrical infrastructure sector, including at least 2 years in a management position.

Summary of Responsibilities

Stakeholder Management:

Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders to develop bid strategies.

Identify appropriate companies for partnerships and support in developing tender responses.

Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities that align with company strategy.

Develop opportunities into tenders, seeking bid writing support as required.

Build business relationships with external parties to support tender responses.

Allocate opportunities to team members or departments for response preparation.

Oversee and lead bid teams in planning and delivering bid submissions according to agreed strategies.

Support operational teams during the transition period of new contracts as required.

Oversee the preparation of handover packs.

Present the basis of bids and ensure sign-off of significant post-tender amendments by authorized personnel.

Develop best practice business development processes regarding tendering.

Prepare bids in a timely manner in accordance with company procedures.

Arrange adjudication meetings and ensure appropriate sign-off is achieved.

Facilitate tender review and hand-over/kick-off meetings.

Monitor tender bulletins and platforms for potential tenders.

Work closely with Business Developers to build relationships.

Standardize tender administration according to ISO requirements.

Evaluate that all required tender documents are saved on M-files.

Sign-off tender evaluations.

Ensure effective negotiations with suppliers, clients, and sub-contractors regarding pricing and commercial terms.

Ensure escalation, import taxes/duties, etc., are applied effectively and correctly.

Ensure SD&L commitments and compliance are met as per requirements.

Ensure estimating resources are properly equipped and trained.

Manage and monitor estimating office resources effectively.

Review tender documents prior to submission and report all relevant risks, concerns, and constraints to EXCO that might impact the company.
