Job Context
To support HR programmes, policies and interventions for an operating company or function in collaboration with the HR leads. Support the HR lead in the execution of the tactical people and culture strategy and monitoring programmes that will improve productivity and inculcate a performance culture throughout the operating company or function, whilst keeping employees engaged and motivated. Works closely with managers and employees within the operating company or function.
Key Performance Areas (KPAs)
- Deliver work activities according to set standards in order to satisfy customers
- Attend learning initiatives to improve work quality and enhance own skills
- Own and live up to the company values
- Execute own work according to set operating procedures service level agreements
- Execute work in line with governance and compliance processes
- Plan and organise own tasks to make sure that performance targets are met and standard operating procedures are adhered to (daily to 3 months)
- Implement the tactical HR strategy and plans, focusing on such areas as leadership capability, workforce performance, employee engagement and talent management
- Support recruitment and learning activities for the operating company or function
- Implement programmes that will improve productivity and inculcate a performance culture throughout the operating company or function, whilst keeping employees engaged and motivated
- Support the execution of the HR agenda within the operating company or function
- Take overall accountability for quality in the HR value chain or processes
- Trusted point of contact for all stakeholders in the provision of one stop HR service to managers, supervisors and staff within the operating company or function
- Identify and access appropriate services aligned with business need
- Route employees to HR resources best able to service query i.e. shared service, external medical aid service provider
- Drive business adoption of HR operating model and solutions, supporting the role out of solutions and capability building for line managers and employees within the operating company or function
- Execute work activities effectively and efficiently in order to maximise financial performance
- Provide continuous feedback on task delivery to support decision making
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s or equivalent 3-year degree (NQF Level 7)
Skills & Experience Required
- Up to 5 years of experience in a similar environment with at least 2 years tactical leadership or specialist experience
- Intermediate employee/industrial relations knowledge and / or skill
- Proficient human resource consulting knowledge and / or skill
- Proficient human resource development knowledge and / or skill
- Proficient legislation and regulations knowledge and / or skill
- Proficient labour relations procedures knowledge and / or skill
