Job Description:
Driving governance at site with the financial manager
Reviewing all trial balances to ensure completeness of the accounts
Ensuring all transactions are reconciled and queries resolved promptly
Following up with the team on long outstanding items; ensuring credit/debit notes are processed
Creating payments via bank account
Maintaining fixed asset register
Preparing cashbook and reconciliations
Allocating ad hoc invoices
Developing processes and internal controls to strengthen internal controls
Preparing accrual and adjustment journals
Preparing payment journals
Preparing for annual audits, including schedules and queries
Ensuring smooth functioning of the administrative department
Assisting in guiding, training, and supervising junior staff
Managing tax submissions (EMP
201s, VAT 201s), reviewing payroll, CIPC submissions, WCA
Presenting management account analysis
Clearing inputs into finance systems
Ensuring the business’s financial compliance with standard group procedures and work instructions
Driving standardization rollout at the business unit and managing the standard day of direct reports
Managing working capital:
Debtors:
Ensuring compliance with Group processes regarding CRMS, PODs, and rebates
Creditors:
Ensuring liabilities are recorded and compliance linked to operational aspects of order origination, PODs, receipting, and cost recording in line with SOPs
Reviewing payroll costs with oversight of planned and incurred overtime
Project management, capital review, EVA modeling
Performing periodic internal audits with Group functions
Meeting monthly finance deadlines
Assisting in site annual budgeting and external audit processes
Reporting:
Completing and submitting monthly management reporting packs on time
Analyzing key drivers (waste, GP, rebates, variable & fixed inputs)
Reviewing weekly financial KPIs for compliance and variances
Managing site stock control team
Qualifications:
3-year BCom Degree; postgraduate CIMA preferred
Minimum 1 year manufacturing experience essential
