Howden Africa (Pty) Ltd is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to take responsibility for the efficient and effective maintenance of the Booysens site, both Offices and Workshops. This role will also be responsible for the efficient and effective maintenance of the machines and equipment.
What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…
Operational Management
Responsible for the efficient and effective operational maintenance on the Booysenssite and assist the Manufacturing team with production supervision, as and when required.
Equipment Management
Responsible for the efficient and effective maintenance ofthe machines and equipment for Howden manufacturing facility in Booysens.
Environmental Management
Responsible for implementation of the Howden Africa environmental plan on the Booysens site.
Health & Safety
Responsible for EHS for the Maintenance team and sub-contractors. Will require a legal appointment.
Your Education Should Be…
Gr 12 or equivalent technical qualification (NTC 3)
Qualified Millwright with minimum 5 years mechanical maintenance experience
Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…
Occasional travelling to other sites will be required
Willingness to work overtime as and when required
Your Professional Experience Should Be…
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Minimum 5 years maintenance supervisory experience
Gr 12 or equivalent technical qualification (NTC 3)
Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Maintenance Planning Software)
Qualified Millwright with minimum 5 years mechanical maintenance experience
EHS certification required (Hira, Incident Investigation, Legal Liability, Osh Act, Working at Heights)
Ability to read drawings, both electrical and mechanical
GMR 2 certification preferred (if not, will need to be acquired)
DESIRABLE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Fork lift licence
Overhead crane licence
Cherry Picker /Scissor Lift licence
