Hire Resolve has an exciting opportunity with our client for a Maintenance Manager in the solar/renewable energy sector in Johannesburg. Our client, a leading renewable energy company, is looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to join their team in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of their solar energy plants.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of the maintenance fleet and teams for Solar PV and BESS installations.
Develop and implement maintenance schedules, inspections, and procedures for preventive care and timely repairs.
Manage emergency responses to equipment failures and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Expand maintenance services to third-party operations to generate additional revenue.
Lead and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, conducting performance evaluations and providing training.
Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Manage team schedules, workload distribution, and resource allocation.
Implement quality control measures and conduct audits to ensure high standards of workmanship.
Resolve issues related to maintenance quality and maintain documentation and records.
Oversee procurement, inventory, and maintenance of tools, equipment, and spare parts.
Manage maintenance fleet and budget, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
Utilize data analytics to monitor and optimize system performance.
Collaborate with internal teams to address recurring issues and implement performance improvements.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance maintenance operations.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Fleet Management, or a related field. Advanced technical certifications are a plus.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably within the renewable energy sector.
Knowledge of Solar PV and BESS technologies and maintenance requirements is advantageous.
Proven experience in leading and managing maintenance teams and operations.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in the renewable energy industry.
Proficiency in using maintenance management software and tools.
