The Maintenance Handyman is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hotel’s maintenance department. This includes managing the upkeep and repair of the hotel’s physical infrastructure, ensuring guest satisfaction, compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining a comfortable and safe environment for guests and staff. The role involves coordinating maintenance schedules, and responding to emergency repair requests.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintenance Operations:
Oversee daily operations of the maintenance department, ensuring smooth functioning of all hotel systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.).
Coordinate and supervise routine and preventive maintenance tasks for the entire hotel property.
Ensure timely repair and maintenance of equipment, facilities, and guest rooms.
Maintain and update a log of all maintenance activities and completed work.
2. Guest Satisfaction:
Respond promptly to guest complaints related to maintenance issues and ensure swift resolution.
Monitor guest room maintenance to ensure a high standard of comfort and safety.
Ensure that all amenities and facilities are in working order for guest satisfaction.
Perform routine safety checks and maintenance inspections.
Ensure all safety equipment is functional, including fire alarms, emergency exits, and sprinkler systems.
Proven experience (typically 3+ years in HOTELS is a must)
