A leading agro-processing and sugar milling company in Kwa Zulu-Natal is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Foreman to oversee mechanical maintenance in the front-end processing section of its large-scale production facility. Requirements:
Matric (Grade 12)
National Trade Test or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
3+ years’ experience in maintenance planning within a large-scale production facility
Extensive experience in planned maintenance systems (Maximo experience advantageous)
Strong leadership & problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a systematic and structured manner in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of sugar milling operations would be an advantage
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Supervision:
Lead a team of maintenance technicians to ensure high levels of plant availability and equipment capacity.
Preventative & Reactive Maintenance:
Implement planned maintenance strategies to reduce downtime and costs.
Technical Excellence:
Oversee mechanical systems, ensuring optimal efficiency, compliance, and safety.
Budget & Cost Control:
Develop and manage maintenance budgets and resource allocation effectively.
Process Optimization:
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant performance.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure adherence to SHERQ, Food Safety, and engineering standards.
Training & Development:
Identify skills gaps within the team and oversee training programs
