Position: Permanent – Machinist
Permanent – Machinist – Johannesburg – South Africa
Responsibilities:
Operate and set up CNC and/or manual machines (e.g., lathes, milling machines, grinders, drill presses).
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
Measure and inspect finished products to ensure they meet specifications and tolerances.
Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal functionality.
Troubleshoot and adjust machine settings to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize manufacturing processes.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including production logs and machine settings.
Minimum Requirements:
Proven experience as a Machinist or in a similar role.
Proficiency in operating CNC and/or manual machining equipment.
Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and tooling.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Knowledge of precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
Familiarity with CNC programming (advantageous but not required).
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
