To ensure that all equipment is maintained and repaired to specifications of manufacturing.
To assist electronic and electrical departments if and when required
To maintain safe work procedures (monthly SHE inspection).
To inspect,service,repair and overhaul Machinery and ensure that machines are kept in good running conditions
Updating the equipment register and plant/ spares information.
Taking of stock of mechanical equipment
Work with precision measurements when carrying out tasks
Minimum N 4 Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification
Have completed a recognized apprenticeship.
Passed a trade test as Fitter and Turner/Millwright
Extensive experience in CNC Machine Maintenance.
Two years or more working experience on Machinery
Good Mechanical insight in the repair of machinery
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Versatile and solid understanding of mechanical repairs, gearbox’s, lathes and CNC machines

– Knowledge of Machine setup (Hydraulics and Pneumatics)

– Experience in handling pumps, ball screws, gibbs, slides and cranes, and lifting tackles
