Position: Long Hole Rig Operators (x2) – NW & GP
Location: Vereeniging
Seeking 2 skilled Long Hole Rig Operators to operate and maintain our HPS H80 LHR equipment at mine sites.
Locations:
Rustenburg (x1) & Carletonville (x1)
Conditions:
Underground mining environment (shift work)
Safety:
Strict adherence to PPE and protocols
Requirements:
Matric Certificate (or equivalent)
Valid Blasting Certificate
Drill Rig Operator Certification
3+ years as a Long Hole Rig Operator
Experience with HPS equipment (advantageous)
Medically fit for underground work
Clear criminal record
Key Responsibilities:
Perform pre-use inspections using checklists
Operate HPS H80 LHR to drill holes according to design specifications
Monitor for gas hazards, ground conditions, and ventilation
Conduct basic troubleshooting and component replacements
Perform scheduled maintenance on rigs and related equipment
Complete shift reports and operational records
Follow all safety protocols and procedures
Provide on-the-job training to new operators
Assist with other tasks as required by supervisors
