Job Overview:
We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Logistics Coordinator to manage the movement of goods, coordinate supply chain processes, and ensure timely deliveries. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, experience in logistics, and excellent attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination
Plan, coordinate, and oversee the transportation of goods.
Schedule and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
Communicate with suppliers, transport companies, and customers to resolve issues.
Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and delivery schedules.
Administrative & Compliance Management
Prepare and process shipping documents, invoices, and customs declarations.
Ensure compliance with all logistics and transport regulations.
Maintain updated records of inventory and stock levels.
Assist in cost control and budgeting for logistics operations.
Communication & Problem-Solving
Handle inquiries from clients and suppliers regarding shipping and delivery timelines.
Address delays, damages, or supply chain disruptions proactively.
Work closely with warehouse staff, drivers, and management to streamline processes.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
Minimum Requirements:
Matric (Grade 12) + Relevant tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
2+ years experience in a logistics or supply chain coordination role
Knowledge of freight, transport, and warehouse operations
Proficiency in logistics software & Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
