SUMMARY:
Logistics Coordinator (Sea & Road) – Pretoria
This role is responsible for coordinating and managing the movement of goods via sea and road to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
POSITION INFO:
- The position involves planning shipments, liaising with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal departments, and tracking the progress of orders.
- Key duties include managing shipping schedules, coordinating imports from international factories under various Incoterms, and ensuring all required documentation is accurate and submitted for customs clearing.
- The role also oversees inter-branch road transport, courier deliveries, and booking transport services while ensuring optimal cost control.
- The Logistics Coordinator serves as a central communication point between sales, warehouse, and transport partners, provides regular shipment updates, and maintains detailed records.
- Additional responsibilities include managing transport costs, verifying invoices, creating purchase orders, and supporting financial processes related to logistics.
