A prestigious Deluxe Safari Lodge located in the heart of the Hoedspruit region is seeking a young dynamic and experienced Lodge Manager to oversee daily operations, elevate guest experiences, and drive the lodge's continued excellence as it enters a new phase of expansion. About the Lodge This elegant bush retreat offers secluded luxury accommodation in private chalets with panoramic views over the savannah. Facilities include a tranquil spa, infinity pool, fine-dining restaurant, and immersive safari experiences led by expert guides. Every element of the guest journey is designed to deliver personalized service, authentic African hospitality , and unforgettable wildlife encounters. The Role: Lodge Manager As Lodge Manager , you will play a pivotal role in shaping guest experiences, managing a dedicated team, and overseeing every aspect of the lodge—from hospitality and guest relations to finance and strategic development. You will also collaborate closely with the General Manager overseeing multiple lodges in the reserve. Key Responsibilities Lead the overall operation of the lodge, ensuring the highest standards of service, hospitality, and guest care. Drive strategic planning and implement business objectives aligned with the company’s broader vision. Manage and mentor lodge staff across all departments including F&B, front office, housekeeping, and maintenance. Maintain exceptional levels of service excellence and personal attention for every guest. Ensure financial controls, budget adherence, stock control, and cost-effective operations. Champion guest relations with warmth, professionalism, and a personal touch. Uphold the lodge’s unique style, ambiance, and service ethos in every detail. Monitor morale, conduct staff development, and ensure a culture of accountability and pride. Collaborate with the central reservations, marketing, and safari teams to maximize lodge occupancy and activity sales. Candidate Profile Minimum Requirements: Matric + Hospitality Diploma or Degree (preferred) Minimum 6 years' experience , including at least 4 years in a 5-star lodge or luxury hotel management role Hands-on experience in F&B operations and Front Office management Strong knowledge of financial and stock control systems Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Fluent in English; a second language is advantageous Computer literacy (MS Office, reservation & stock systems) Knowledge of labour law and HR procedures Understanding of housekeeping and maintenance standards Industry awareness of luxury hospitality and safari trends Key Traits: Passionate about hospitality and African wildlife tourism Detail-oriented, strategic, and solutions-driven High EQ and leadership presence Calm under pressure with excellent organisational skills Committed to sustainable tourism and guest personalization What’s on Offer?
