Location: Gravelottekop
Big 5 Game Reserve adjacent to the Greater Kruger National Park is looking for a LODGE MANAGER
There are two luxury 5-star lodges on the reserve. The reserve works with the community on several projects, including an environmental
education
programme for local schoolchildren, outsourcing of services, and food production.
Candidate requirements;
Must have Grade 12
Tertiary education in Tourism/Hospitality would be a nice-to-have.
Must have 4 years of experience in a similar role. Preferably 5
* establishments.
Must have a good understanding of all functions of a lodge’s operations.
Must be able to host guests and have an outgoing personality.
Must have strong administration and organizational skills.
Must be computer literate.
Will need to be responsible for all lodge operations and take initiative to solve any problems as they arise.
Will need to create and construct beautiful guest experiences such as bush dinners, gin stops, and anything else that will add to the overall guest experience.
Strong leadership and management skills, with good communication skills.
Must be hands-on and will need to be actively involved in day-to-day operations by helping and teaching staff as needed.
Will need to be dynamic and willing to fill in where needed.
A driver’s license is essential.
