Rate: R32,000 – R40,000 (dependent on experience)
This opportunity is ideal for a litigation-focused attorney seeking international exposure and hands-on involvement in sophisticated legal matters across multiple practice areas.
Practice Areas
The firm primarily handles Civil Litigation and Commercial Litigation matters. They also deal with Probate, Immigration, Family Law and International & Cross-Border Matters.
The Role
Working closely with US attorneys in a high-level paralegal/foreign legal professional capacity, the successful candidate will assist with active litigation matters and, after training, manage matters independently under supervision.
Responsibilities
- Drafting legal correspondence and pleadings
- Legal research and case analysis
- Managing litigation files and timelines
- Client communication and support
- Assisting with discovery and case preparation
- Handling matters involving breach of contract, unjust enrichment, misrepresentation and commercial disputes
Requirements
- Admitted South African Attorney
- Minimum 3+ years’ civil/commercial litigation experience
- Professional, personable, and team-oriented
- Comfortable interacting directly with clients
- Available to work US EST hours
- High-speed internet (minimum 50 Mbps download/upload) and a Professional remote working environment
