POSITION INFO :

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :

Store Targets and Profitability

Responsible for meeting store targets.

Maintain store expenses within budget.

Manage shrinkage within the store.

Motivate staff to contribute to the store’s success.

Stock Management

Oversee stock control by monitoring stock levels and purchases.

Participate in category stock counts and investigate variances.

Ensure stock received and GRV’d as per procedure, capturing transfers, claims, and invoices accurately.

Oversee the receiving process, ensuring accurate stock receipt and timely returns.

Front End Function

Manage the front-end operations.

Control and check floats

Ensure correct cash-up procedures and money drops.

Staff Control

Oversee staff management, including recruitment, training, orientation, appraisal, and supervision.

Schedule staff monthly to optimize coverage, limit outsourced staff, and reduce overtime.

Ensure staff uniforms are neat and proper.

Ensure compliance with store policies, procedures, and rules.

Motivate staff to achieve maximum performance through planning, time management, and productivity.

Security, Health, and Safety

Responsible for the safety of the store, staff, and customers.

Customer Experience

Ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to the customer service program. Oversee store hygiene and legal compliance.

Promotions

Assist with promotional activities, including preparation and implementation of promotional materials and events.

Administration

Perform administrative functions, maintain organized and accurate documentation.

Communication

Communicate issues related to productivity, staffing, training, system improvements, and other relevant matters to senior management promptly and professionally.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE :

Grade 12 or equivalent; related qualification is beneficial.

5-7 years’ managerial experience in a retail environment.
