Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist with food assembly according to established recipes and standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, ovens, poachers, braising pans, and dishwashers
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation by following food safety sanitizing procedures throughout the shift
- Support high-volume food production while adhering to recipe guidelines and portion control
- Assist with menu planning and meal preparation for various service types, including catering events
- Handle food safely during all stages of food handling, from prep to plating, ensuring quality control
- Contribute to a clean and organized kitchen environment by performing dishwashing duties and maintaining station cleanliness
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or culinary roles such as dietary aide, catering, or restaurant work is preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of food safety management and sanitizing procedures
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in cooking techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and food preparation
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a high-volume setting
- Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation across diverse cuisines
- Excellent food handling skills with attention to detail in food production standards
- Familiarity with dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is a plus
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and safety standards

Pay Range: $16.90-$19.00 per hour + tips (Average $22-$26 per hour with tips)
