Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist with meal assembly according to established recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, utensils, and equipment to ensure a safe and sanitary environment
- Support the kitchen team with food handling, portioning, and basic cooking tasks as directed
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen tools efficiently while adhering to food safety guidelines
- Assist with menu planning by organizing ingredients and ensuring timely preparation of dishes
- Follow all food safety protocols and proper sanitation procedures at all times
- Support catering events or special functions by preparing and serving food as needed
Requirements
- Previous experience in a food industry setting such as restaurant, catering, or dietary department preferred
- Knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and kitchen safety standards
- Strong knife skills and experience with meal preparation are highly desirable
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude toward learning new culinary techniques
- Experience with dietary aide responsibilities or fine dining environments is a plus
- Must be reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
