About The Position: Powder Ridge Ski Area is looking for a dependable, hands-on Lift Maintenance Technician to join our Mountain Operations Team. This position will work closely with the Mountain Manager to maintain and safely operate our aerial lifts, surface lifts, groomers, snowmaking equipment, snow vehicles, wheeled vehicles and other equipment throughout the ski area.

The ideal candidate is a team player and self-starter who takes pride in their work, pays close attention to detail and understands that safety is the top priority. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, mechanical work, being outdoors, and keeping equipment and mountain operations running smoothly.

Shift: This is a full-time, year-round position. Must be available in the evenings and weekends during the ski season. Flexible schedule in the off season.

Key Responsibilities
– Assist the Mountain Manager with maintenance, inspection, and repair of aerial lifts, surface lifts, and related equipment. No ski area knowledge required, we will train you. But must have basic mechanical understandings.
– Perform routine and preventative maintenance on lifts, groomers, snowmaking equipment, snow vehicles, wheeled vehicles, and other mountain equipment.
– Assist with troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues and make repairs as needed.
– Help prepare and maintain equipment through the winter season and during the off-season.
– Complete regular inspections and maintenance tasks with a strong focus on safety and reliability
– Keep accurate maintenance records and communicate equipment concerns or repair needs to management.
– Assist with snowmaking operations and snow-grooming equipment as needed.
– Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
-Work collaboratively with the Mountain Operations team and other departments.
– Respond to equipment issues and maintenance needs in a timely manner.
– Follow all company safety procedures, manufacturer recommendations, and applicable regulations.
– Perform other maintenance and mountain operations duties as needed.

Key Responsibilities
– Capability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials.
– Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in cold, snow, wind, and varying weather conditions.
– Ability to climb ladders, climb lift towers, and work at heights as required using the proper safety gear.
– Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical maintenance tasks for extended periods.
– Competence to safely operate or learn to operate various snow and wheeled vehicles.
– Willingness to learn how to make snow and assist with snowmaking operations at the start of the ski season.

Pay: $28.00 – $30.00 per hour
