Lifeguards Jobs in Cape Town, South Africa at Crew Life at Sea
Key Responsibilities:
– Monitor all pool areas and other water facilities on board to ensure safety protocols are being followed onboard the cruise ship
– Provide first aid and emergency care in the event of an accident or injury
– Enforce all pool rules and regulations to ensure the safety of all individuals
– Conduct regular safety inspections of the pool and surrounding areas
– Assist in the maintenance and cleaning of the pool and pool deck
– Communicate effectively with other crew members and passengers to provide a positive and welcoming atmosphere
– Participate in safety drills and trainings as required by the company
– Attend to any other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management
Qualifications:
– Current lifeguard certification from a recognized organization
– Minimum of 1 year experience as a lifeguard, preferably in a pool or aquatic environment
– Strong swimming and rescue skills
– Excellent communication and customer service skills
– Ability to remain calm and act quickly in emergency situations
– Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment
– Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
– Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical examination and drug test
