Introduction
Our Company is looking for a Legal Specialist to work at one of our Clients in Bryanston.
- Start date: ASAP
- Contract duration: 12 months
- Hourly rate: R222.44 per hour, no benefits
- Hybrid model (4 days at the office and 1 day working from home)
- Location: Bryanston
Role Purpose
Responsible for the delivering legal and compliance advice to the legal team. To support the legal team with:
- vetting, drafting, negotiation and renewal of property leases, access agreements, site sharing agreements with third parties and any other agreements that MAST may be required to enter into from time to time;
- all queries received from the various departments at MAST;
- be proactive in their engagement with internal MAST personnel; and
- dispute resolutions and litigation matters.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities And Responsibilities
- Support the internal legal team;
- Day-to-day responsibility for providing accurate, effective and timely legal advice, analysis, and support on commercial and contractual matters relating to MAST, with a specific focus on property lease and site sharing negotiations, renewals, and dispute;
- Drafting legal agreements as required by MAST;
- Research and drafting legal opinions;
- Keep MAST business stakeholders updated and briefed on major negotiations, disputes and/or, changes in property law in South Africa that impact MAST;
- Be an active member of the MAST legal team;
- Keep the legal team abreast of legal matters and write reports to them from time to time.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Required Qualifications: The ideal candidate for this role must have:
- Minimum LLB Degree
- Completed articles with no PQE or PQE of no more than 2 years
