About the Company

We’re hiring a Legal Assistant to join a client-focused law firm specializing in Social Security Disability Appeals. In this role, you’ll provide critical support to the Social Security Case Manager, helping individuals who are no longer able to work due to medical conditions navigate their appeals. This is a meaningful opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives while working with a mission-driven team.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as a primary point of contact for clients via phone, text, email, and mail

Gather information on clients’ daily activities, work history, and supporting documentation

Draft and file correspondence and appeal forms

Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files

Track deadlines, hearings, and follow-ups using case management software

Communicate with the SSA, medical providers, and other third parties

Provide compassionate, respectful support to clients facing physical and mental disabilities

Qualifications

Exceptional phone and interpersonal communication skills

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently

Genuine empathy and professionalism when supporting clients

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred

Bilingual (Fluent in Spanish and English) would be a bonus
